Still going steady with the debt snowball. I received my bonus $200 for opening a Chase checking account and making a direct deposit. I put all of that money towards my Amazon Store card. The balance is under $1500 now and it has a nasty 25.99% interest rate. So getting this balance out of my life will save me $50 in monthly interest! The debt snowball is really amazing but I’m getting impatient lol. I need to get so more income in to speed this up though. I could really see how the debt snowball is really good for you mentally to get some debt repayment victories early on!
I made one of the easiest decisions of my life this week. I called Credit One closed my account and cut up their credit card. This account had a monthly fee of 8.99. It was deferred for 6 months and was set to end soon. So I called them up and they gave me the spill about if I owe money the account will stay open and the monthly fee will charge until there is not a balance. Little did they know they owe me .37 and I would like it in a timely fashion once my account is closed lol.
The budget is still intact. For the next few weeks I will eat what is already here in the cabinets or freezer to save. My next paycheck is allocated to pretty much all go towards paying my Amazon Store card balance. Also adding a little bit to my savings accounts to have a cushion. My raise at work is official I haven’t calculated how much extra I’ll take home a pay period but I am thankful for it nonetheless.
Ok so I decided to give Postmates a second chance. I finally received a tip so that was awesome. I had to make a delivery to a hospital and in the current times with coronavirus this was really stressful. I want to make some budget/debt fillable pdf’s for Etsy to hopefully make some money with.
This will finally slow down for sure. I had a health checkup worth work and they let me have it as far as my blood pressure is concerned. No more fast food binges. I am going to be meal prep for sure.
No complaints! I’m getting married on Saturday so that’s super exciting. Every week almost my debt free date moves closer so here’s to a no debt future!
